Kids get spankings, I got them when I was little too if I acted up. It’s not like she’s hitting and punching her around though so I don’t understand why everyone’s all “OMG KATE SPANKED LEAH”!! Why is it such a big deal, is it because she’s a ‘celebrity’?

I think back in the day when parents were allowed to discipline their children, they were alot more respectful and better behaved. Nowdays people butt in where it’s none of their business, and raise hell about people spanking their kids. Because of that parents are afraid to be parents and we have a nation full of disrespectful obnoxious little brats that nobody can stand, including the people whose fault it is that they’re that way to begin with. (meaning the people who want every parent who spanks to have their children taken away). If you dont want to spank your kids, then dont, but mind your own business about people who do.
I think what she did was perfectly normal. She’s got 8 freaking kids, I’m surprised she doesnt beat them on a daily basis. People need to chill out and stop acting like it’s such a huge deal.
No I don’t think that’s a big deal, a spank on her bottom w/ a hand. But what bothers me and what I believe is abuse is when you hit a child w/ a object. Which is what I read this morning, she pulled one of the boys into the bathroom and hit him w/ a spoon.
Whether it’s true or not only the people that were there know. And I fully believe it is a parents job to discipline their child how they see fit, but if THAT happened that crosses the line and is abuse.
Thats extremely stupid to me. I have no clue how they even got “famous” they didnt even do anything. But i dont know some people take spankings as abuse, people are just dumb, its a punishment..the kid clearly deserved it. People just make big deals over dumb stuff
Because all the lights and cameras, and strangers around is no problem but that spanking may traumatize that kid for life!

If you look at the pictures, she is HITTING with a closed fist on little Leah. Spanking is an open palm, hitting is a closed fist. I don’t know how many parents HIT their kids with a closed fist. People should stop using the term spanking, and use hitting for this incident. My parents spanked me with an open palm on my bottom, but never made a fist and hit me. There is a big difference, and injury could occur with hitting.
