Why Do The Gosselin Kids From Jon And Kate Plus 8 Look So Much Like Jon?

anyone who knows about genetics can you explain why the Gosselin kids look so much like jon and didn’t get any traits from kate? I am assuming jon’s gene’s are more dominant, I know he’s Hawiian….me and my mom always talk about this and are looking for some answers!

I was just watching an episode the other night where they were talking about this exact topic. They were told by his Mother or Grandmother that the Korean gene is very dominant and none of the kids would look like Kate. Kate was thrilled about that because she said it was no secret she wished she were Asian also. She loves that her children look like little Asian porcelain dolls. They are all such adorable kids.
I think in one of the flashback episodes, Kate tells about when she first met Jon’s mother, and his mother told her that when Jon and Kate have babies that she better be ready that none of the kids will look like her, because the Asian gene will always dominate!
Yes, the Gosselin children all look Korean like Jon. Now Maddy may look like Jon, but she is her mothers daughter, through and through!! She is definitely the most like Kate in personality..heaven help the other 8 in that family!!!
this is because the gene is way more dominant and are almost sure they arent gonna look like the other parent(in this case Kate) but she has said that she is happy they look like that because they are cute and she wishes she was asian.
Jon is actually of Korean decent but was born in Hawaii. The kids all look like him because the Asian gene is very dominant.

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. I was watching the show Thursday morning and I noticed that too. You are probably right his genes are more dominant.
The Korean gene is more dominant and Alexis has slightly lighter hair and that could have been from Kate.
