Why do people of an asian descent always look fully asian when they are younger?

Like there are the gosselin kids and cara the eldest looks hawaian now and asian then. However they showed her when she was younger and she looked totally korean. I saw that with some other child actress. The same ting happened. Could anyone tell me the genetics behind this?

I’m pretty sure they looked fully “asian” by the time they were born…I don’t understand your question.
That’s a question of asthetics the genes don’t change

Cause when they are first born they never had a twinkie.
The gosselin kids are mixed with white
…Uh, the Gosselin kids are half-white.
So it’s not like they’re full Asian looking non-Asian all of a sudden.
I think its because we generally associate asians with the rounder heads, puffy cheeks, small eyes, and button noses. As children grow their noses get larger hence getting rid of the button nose and shedding their baby fat, which filled out their faces and made their eyes look smaller when they were younger. With this comes more sunken cheeks which veers towards a Caucasian look.
Even though im 19 my cheeks are still sinking in more and more from even just one year ago and as a baby I had the most dramatic button nose but i grew out of it and I now have a pixi nose.
Our heads also expand more which would cause our facial bones to elongate thus the head getting less round and chubby looking.
So its not really genetics as much as growing out of baby fat and just developing.

usually with mixed race people one side tends to dominate as they grow older.
depends on the genetic. three of my nieces are bi-racial.
boy is german half thai..he looks more german
another girl is also german half thai…looks german
another girl is hungarian and german half thai….more hungarian.
another girl is ainu and japanese and thai/dutch…. looks russian.
