Why are people making Kate Gosselin seem like a monster? Do you find her fake?

I was just reading previous posts about the Gosselin family and I saw a lot of negative things about Kate like that she’s mean, only tries to act nice for the camera, and is a witch who is ruining Jon’s life.
I find that absurd. Sure, she is very controlling, assertive, and likes things her way, but that’s a personality type that many people have and she has 10 times a burden on her shoulder, so yes, she’s going to make sure things are under control. You have to admit, Jon doesn’t ALWAYS seems like a victim. He can be very childish and stubborn at times. I don’t blame Kate for wearing the pants to keep life sane at her house.
And Jon knew Kate before marrying her. He knew her personality type, but he couldn’t predict that they were going to have so many kids, so Kate’s not ruining his life. They interact like a NORMAL couple. Arguing is not rare in most marriages.

So I’m just wondering—what do you think? Jon, a victim? Or do you agree that people need to cut Kate some slack?

I agree with you…Jon is more real but kate isn’t fake…but jon sometimes acts likes the victim

she is so ocd you do not need to clean your kitchen three times a day! but her and her hubby are good parents she just needs to chill!

I think Jon pays a very small price for what Kate takes care of. Wonder how much she has left for him once the kids are in bed and the lights are out???!!!

i just think thats how it is in their family, kate wears the pants. i dont think shes fake at all, i think shes as real as she can be with all the cameras around. it actually dont think that he minds kate being the controller, i think he knows that if he played the major parent role, things would go downhill. so no, i dont think that jon is a victim, and yes i think people need to cut kate some slack.

I don’t think she’s a bad person at all. She’s a perfectionist, but so are a lot of us….or we try to be. I think to keep that household running with any sort of order, she has to be that way. The kids aren’t abused…they’re very well taken care of…she has to run a tight ship because there’s so many kids there….and to keep her sanity. I don’t think Jon’s got it too rough either. He gets to leave during the day and converse with adults. He comes home to a lot of chaos, I’m sure, and then has to pull his “shift” helping out. I think because Kate is so organized and is so good at what she does, it makes it a little easier for Jon to be the co-pilot.

i don’t think she acts nice for the camera, she’s being real, but i do think she can be a bit stuck up and could relax a little but having that many kids who can blame her
