I thought he was honest and real. Some of the details were difficult to hear but his anger and frustration was deeply felt. It’s unfortunate he used the word “despise” to describe his feelings toward Kate.

I think that he was honest and real, but I really think he’s going to regret doing that.
His children Cara and Maddie are preteens and know how to use the internet, and I can only imagine how upset they’d be to hear some of what he said.
This is the one time I side with Kate and I respect her for keeping her mouth shut about the situation so that her kids can never hear anything nasty about the divorce from her, but I think that it’s a little silly, since she had no problem berating Jon to within an inch of his sanity right in front of their children almost on a daily basis.
I think I would have respected him a little more if he would have done that interview BEFORE what he has been doing lately. I’m sorry but his behavior lately is ridiculous. Yes, I am glad he is away from Kate because I think she is a nagging, crazy, and controlling woman. But I don’t agree with the way he has been acting. Maybe he is just acting crazy because he never got to when he was married, I just find his behavior not “father material”. I hate to say this but Kate, in my opinion, has deffinetley stepped up and has been there for their kids. Unlike him, you rarely ever see him with his kids. But I also don’t know him or that family so I only am saying what I have seen of him. I think it was very honest what he was saying, but I don’t know if I would have stated to the world how I felt about the mother of my children, regardless of if I hate her guts. His children are going to google him one day to see “what daddy was like” and I’m sure they are not going to like what they see.

im sorry but even though i feel bad for him sometimes and then bad for kate sometimes…
its both of there faults..
but to me as of now is that
its that jon is just so messed up..
he talks trash about kate…which is just beyond believe..
thats the mother of HIS 8 children…you know what i mean?
and he says she just wants publicity..but he’s the one complaining about her while on the news..if he really didnt want any he wouldnt be talking to anybody!
i see jon in like hundreds of more interviews than kate..
and what reason would jon have at an interview…to talk about himself..
but if kate was in an interview it could be about her book or kids…
hes just so selfish..and i think he’s lost…

but most of all i think he’s playing the victium…
its his fault to..but he keeps blaming kate..and its just not right..
but i saw a part about the ring..
and he complained that kate took it..
but im like WOW! cause he said he took it off and then put it on the table and left…
he’s so dumb! cause any wife wouldnt leave the ring…offcourse they would take it..
and then he said kate is still wearing the ring for publicity..
but man on man…if i had one wish it was to give jon the power to store some wisdom in his brain..cause it seems pretty empty in there..
she’s doing the right think and is thinking about her kids…
but anyways..
im just so thankful that im not them..

I found it quite interesting. I knew Kate was a little over the top at times, but I never new things were much worse off camera. He seems happier now with Hailey though and if he can be himself more, that’s much healthier. What really shocked me was that Kate refused marriage counseling. It just goes to show she didn’t want to even hear that she was in the wrong, since counselors can tell us things we don’t want to hear sometimes.
Since i started watch that show a few years ago , I always thought that Kate was bossy, controlling, her way only, a “know it all ” in other words a big pain in the butt for him. I always felt sorry for him and I was wondering when he will start to stand up to her. Finally he did . Good for him!.
I only watched that show for a total of 15 minutes, but I wondered what the hell he saw in her. She was snotty, bitchy, and she looked downright mean. She didn’t match him physically, either. I pictured him with a feminine-looking girl, and not a bulldyke like Kate.
I totally agree with the first person to answer. Didn’t see the interview, but as I watched the show, I realized that Kate’s a man eater! He seems like a real down to earth guy. I think she pushed him right over the edge!
