They are exploiting their children just for the money. They are the only family on tv that does it for the money. Both Jon and Kate need to get a real job and stop using the kids.

Most people think she is horrible so I was just wondering because I really never took sides when all this junk came out about them. But what struck me is that Kate seem to imply that she was willing or had at least tried to figure out what was wrong with their relationship and possibly work it out. But maybe Jon didn’t want to. He seemed very uninterested the entire show. I can’t say I felt bad for Jon because in many episodes he did seem a little bit like a slacker and would act like he had to be told everything in order for him to do it. You have 8 kids I would think you had a clue (only my opinion). Plus I believe Jon was well aware of the way Kate was when he married her and then remarried her. So sorry no pity there either. So I don’t know I just felt really sad for the whole family. But I think I teared up seeing Alexis tell Jon she doesn’t want him to leave anymore …oh that was sad. What do you think? What did you think about Kate after this?

My opinion of Kate took a turn for the worst.

She spent the whole episode saying how Jon resents being a dad and that she does everything and he has never done anything. She is playing for the camera now. I had never seen it that much before but I really do now. I am very disappointed.

I don’t think that Kate was this way when Jon married her. She was very sweet on the first few times that TLC did specials on the family.

The whole thing has become a business. Its not to help people understand their family or to document for their children.

It makes me sad to see that the show is supposed to be about all of them and has become more about Kate getting her hair done, going on trips, going to the spa, and the 6′s birthday parties. Am I the only one who noticed that the twins get pushed to the side and go to dinner for their birthday and that Kate NEVER talks about how she needs to document their birthdays and make them special because there will never be another one at that age.

Its sad and the only way to get back on track is to quit doing the show. Its causing too many problems

All the kids sit around the table and do some sort of exercise so they can practice their names (can’t remember if they are writing, coloring or what they were doing.) But it was really a neat idea to do with your kids.

My fiancee watches this show. I think it is a joke now. Not only has it turned into a mere product placement role for them (in exchange for free trips and stuff), but I feel bad for the children being exploited. I think this could have a negative long-term effect on the children’s mental well-being. Any thoughts — do you think the parents are just in it for the money, fame, and free stuff? I do.

vows in front of the world and telling their children that it meant that they were going to be together forever say to you now that it actually looks like they are on the edge of divorce? I have always loved this show but as this has come to be, I feel like the whole renewing of the vows was nothing but a fa sad and a betrayal to all of us fans. This is just devastating to me. and where could I buy one for my preschoolers. I think it would be fun for my preschoolers to hold on to the rope handles to go down the hallway to go to the bathroom because it would discourage them for walking or running to fast. This disturbs the other classes in the mornings. Thanks for info.

I like the show, for the most part. But I really don’t care for Kate. I don’t have an opinion one way or the other on their financial motivations behind it, everyone has to make a living. But this family seems to take alot of heat and criticism, just wondering what other parents who watch think of Kate’s parenting style and disposition.

I think they’re good parents. They have 8 kids, so they did the show so they can pay for them….LOL!

I used to love Jon and Kate, but all I see now is a broken family. Its not so happy anymore, it’s tragic and I probably won’t watch it anymore. Do you think the show will go on, will Kate and Jon ever reconcile? Unless they quit the show and get serious counseling i don’t see a way for Jon and Kate to fix their marriage. Also how much of the rumors do you think is true?

I think they might stay together but i also think they will get a divorce who knows what will happen

jon could have emotionally cheated but you people who listen to the rumors just need to back off. You can belive these rumors when you hear that crap coming from jon and kates mouths
