they said that they were gonna get seperated but the media is saying they are divorcing.

I heard that Pennsylvania state law was that a couple must be separated 2 years before the couple gets a divorce. The only reason I ask is because it was only about a year to year and a half ago that they got their vows renewed. Why would they get their vows renewed if they were seperated?
