My son was born healthy at 32 weeks…He only needed an oxygen tent in the NICU for several days and was released after 3 weeks. No one mentioned anything about eyes needing to be checked, but Jon and Kate Plus Eight from TLC has gotten me scared. She said that premies have to have their eyes checked regularly to make sure that they are okay. Is that true?

On the series Jon and Kate Plus Eight, Jon and Kate Gosselin have twin girls and sextuplets, which is eight kids all together. Jon is half Korean, and half cocasion. Kate is full cocasion. They both appear to have blue eyes. If blue eyes is the dominant trait, how come none of the eight children have blue eyes? Does Jon wear colored contacts?

on that Jon and Kate show, if both of the parents really “have blue colored eyes” then it seems like at least one of the kids would also have blue colored eyes. And yet they have 8 kids and all of them seem to have brown eyes. In addition, it looks like Jon is asian, and I have never seen an asian person that did not have brown or black eyes…and I don’t know about you, but to me it sort of looks like he just has contact lenses. So does anyone know if his eyes are really blue like that, or is it just contact lenses? And if his eyes are really blue like that then why do all of the kids have brown eyes (if both of the parents “really” have blue eyes)?
