Question by Rocking the Free World Since Whenever: How come they don’t make movies (or TV) about African-American families with LOTS of children?
Last night I dreamed I was watching some hokey movie about a family that had about 10-12 kids. You know the type: goofy-looking dad, pretty mother, cutesy kids and a pair of twins that get up to mischief. It was like “Cheaper by the Dozen” but the family were African-American. The plot was really lame and forgettable.

It was only after I woke up that I realised that I’d watched lots of movies like that in real life – but never about a black family. And there are reality TV shows like Eighteen and Counting and Kate Plus 8, but I didn’t know of any about African-American families squeezing out 18 kids or something.

And I guess now I’m wondering: why not? I’m pretty bored with shows like the Duggars, but a show with an African-American family might be refreshing (until I got bored with them as well, anyway).

PS: Please do not say the Cosbys or Family Matters like they did on some other question, because they only had 3-4 children. I’m talking 8-20 children.
Such families might be rare in real life (even though the Duggars are on TV), but for a movie one could hire actors to play the roles of the family members.

I will be heart broken if Jon and Kate from the the tv show “Jon and Kate Plus 8″ split up. I don’t want to see those innocent 8 children go through something like that. Plus I love that show! and I want the family to stay together.

Organic food is more healthier for you. It doesnt have all those pesticides and other dangerous chemicals in it that can cause harm to your body. Thats why the organic craze has taken ahold of Hollywood. Almost everything these days is going green lol. More healthier,cleaner living. Farmers who grow all their vegetables and fruits organically doesnt use any dangerous pesticides and chemicals on their crops that can cause harm to a persons body. All those dangerous toxins are bad for your body. A lot of people these days are trying to eat more healthier by going the organic route.

on a recent show, kate said that she has always had a rocky relationship with her parents and they opted not to be a part of their lives and the kids lives. and jons father died after the twins were born and his mother lives away from them and she works full time so she doesnt get to be around very often.

I think they are just two very different people, both changed a lot. I personally think Jon’s just a jerk, and Kate’s looks only got better through the years of the TV show.
