They are going to continue to film the show. Jon and Kate will switch off occupying the new house, with the kids, while they film.

The kids will continue to live in the house, while Jon and Kate sort of switch out and share custody. The cameras will follow the kids around, so whichever parent the kids are with is the one being shown for the most part.

Interviews will no longer be conducted jointly, but will instead be done individually. So you’ll see either an interview with Jon or an interview with Kate.

In a broader sense of “what will happen to the kids”, they will be filmed as they go through the emotional turmoil of watching their parents divorce in front of the entire country on live TV. I expect they’ll come out of this permanently damaged. The fact that Jon and Kate haven’t stopped filming suggests to me that the kids aren’t getting quality parenting, either, so how they turn out is anyone’s guess.

My sister and I are curious about how the show is going to work. Will they pretend to be married, have them alternate who is in the show, or have it just be how their life really is. Please tell us what you expect. We love the show and hope that it continues to be good and that the kids grow up to be okay.
I know nothing is final. But I want to know what will happen IF it gets finalized…

Most people think she is horrible so I was just wondering because I really never took sides when all this junk came out about them. But what struck me is that Kate seem to imply that she was willing or had at least tried to figure out what was wrong with their relationship and possibly work it out. But maybe Jon didn’t want to. He seemed very uninterested the entire show. I can’t say I felt bad for Jon because in many episodes he did seem a little bit like a slacker and would act like he had to be told everything in order for him to do it. You have 8 kids I would think you had a clue (only my opinion). Plus I believe Jon was well aware of the way Kate was when he married her and then remarried her. So sorry no pity there either. So I don’t know I just felt really sad for the whole family. But I think I teared up seeing Alexis tell Jon she doesn’t want him to leave anymore …oh that was sad. What do you think? What did you think about Kate after this?

My opinion of Kate took a turn for the worst.

She spent the whole episode saying how Jon resents being a dad and that she does everything and he has never done anything. She is playing for the camera now. I had never seen it that much before but I really do now. I am very disappointed.

I don’t think that Kate was this way when Jon married her. She was very sweet on the first few times that TLC did specials on the family.

The whole thing has become a business. Its not to help people understand their family or to document for their children.

It makes me sad to see that the show is supposed to be about all of them and has become more about Kate getting her hair done, going on trips, going to the spa, and the 6’s birthday parties. Am I the only one who noticed that the twins get pushed to the side and go to dinner for their birthday and that Kate NEVER talks about how she needs to document their birthdays and make them special because there will never be another one at that age.

Its sad and the only way to get back on track is to quit doing the show. Its causing too many problems

As I subscribe to Lady’s Home Journal and their photo shoot for the magazine which was shown on their TV show for the October cover was done in July I’m guessing four months from shooting to air time.

Also.. they bought their new home October 23rd 2008 as that’s the date on the realtor’s listing records and were now seeing the filming from that time.

Those children have decent names….but they aren’t the names I had in mind for my own children. I especially like that they nicknamed the one child Sassy. I think that’s precious.

I also dislike Kate.

In the last episode of Jon and Kate plus 8, the couple announced they were getting a divorce. Very sad, especially for the kids. Will you still watch the show?

what is the episode on jon & kate plus 8 that kate yells at the boys for breaking the dresser knob & collin does a crazy dance?

Well last time I heard,I heard that Jon and Kate plus 8 was done this season and the show where one of the dogs eats a toy and the family had to go to the vet was the last show of the season.So my question is when does the next season start?

they have all had kids and they have no curves…these arent the only people ive seen without curves..my friends mom has had 2 kid and has no curves! at all

look so much like the mom on Home Alone (can’t remember her name), she has red hair, but her & Kate’s face – mouth, eyes, etc look so similar! I’m not saying the home alone mom is ugly, but Kate looks uglier now that she had face surgery. And she’s had her breast done. Doesn’t her new hair do look fake? Is she wearing a weave? I’m sorry, but I just can’t get over how she claims that EVERYTHING is for the kids..really, was it good for the kid’s mom to transform her face into someone different during this difficult time, & what does bigger breasts do for the children?! I used to like her, even though she was a bitch to her husband, but ever since the divorce stuff, I can’t stand her. Through the years she has become so conceited, selfish, & stuck up.

Seriously, that was so sad. I really hope they can work it out. I think if they got counseling and if both of them made changes, the marriage would be even better than it was before. Since this was only the first episode of the season, i’m still trying to keep hope alive that things will turn around for them. it would be too sad for them to have gone through all their struggles, and just when things were getting easier, it ends in divorce.

p.s: anyone notice jon’s fancy new white sports car?!?!?

please no tabloid b.s unless there is a telling picture that isn’t obvious. Tabloids tell us that a vampire baby has already eaten Pennsylvania so I guess Kate can’t buy it….(Didn’t Jon get a 2 seater cheater mobile and hair plugs for HIS fame? )
