Question by : How would u feel about a bunch of camera men following u around?
Ok if u were a celebrity family and u had a chance to have your own show where camera’s were constantly following u and your family around inside your house to record every conversation and every moment of your lives for a TV show (like Run’s house or Jon & Kate Plus would u want to do it knowing that it would make u a lot of money? Or would u rather just be left alone? Tell me why u chose what u did.

I would never do a reality show, period. Those things are so scripted, and I like my privacy. Also, do you see how hated the Kardashians are? I’m sure the money’s good, but I’d never do a reality show.

Last night I dreamed I was watching some hokey movie about a family that had about 10-12 kids. You know the type: goofy-looking dad, pretty mother, cutesy kids and a pair of twins that get up to mischief. It was like “Cheaper by the Dozen” but the family were African-American. The plot was really lame and forgettable.

It was only after I woke up that I realised that I’d watched lots of movies like that in real life – but never about a black family. And there are reality TV shows like Eighteen and Counting and Kate Plus 8, but I didn’t know of any about African-American families squeezing out 18 kids or something.

And I guess now I’m wondering: why not? I’m pretty bored with shows like the Duggars, but a show with an African-American family might be refreshing (until I got bored with them as well, anyway).

PS: Please do not say the Cosbys or Family Matters like they did on some other question, because they only had 3-4 children. I’m talking 8-20 children.
Such families might be rare in real life (even though the Duggars are on TV), but for a movie one could hire actors to play the roles of the family members.

So, how did these people get their own tv show? I am well aware of the area they live(d) in, but am unaware of any contests, ect for a lame family to get their own tv show. Also, why in God’s name is this show actually popular? I can’t even go to Target without Jon and his crew of about 12-15 bombarding the store and making a scene just so he can buy shampoo and toilet paper like me and every other shopper in the place. Kate looks crazy, and since she now lives in Wernersville, she reminds me of an escaped luna tic from the state mental hospital. What is honestly the thrill of this show, and are all those brats theirs, or are they adopted? Also, are the brats different ages? Sorry, I never wasted my time watching the show, but seeing as how I live amongst popular “celebrities” well, I’m curious. Thanks everyone who answers.
Never seen the show, but I know from the local papers that they lived in Mt Joy Pa which is in Lancaster County, and moved to Wernersville, which is in Berks county Pa. Yes, I seen the douchebag named Jon at Target, which is in Reading, Pa.
I currently work in Mt Joy and grew up in Berks County Pa so bite me!

1.they got their own show because kate was the first person to give birth to sextuplets AND twins.

2. It’s pular because some people like it like me. the kids are soo cute!

I read this story about madelyn gosselin from jon and kate plus 8 and i wondered what you think:

It has emerged that the 8 year old Madelyn Gosselin from the reality television show Jon and Kate Plus 8 has run away from home after finding out about her fathers,Jon Gosselin alledged affair with a primary school teahcer. Madelyn is one of eight children she has a twin sister Cara and younger brothers and sisters, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel who are all 5.
It is thought Madelyn has had enough off all the aruing and shotuing going on in the house and had run away. It is reported that Cara was the first one to notice that Madelyn had gone after waking up one morning and finding the bed opposite her empty. There is no word yet from Jon and Kate but it is thought the police are now incloved to find Madelyn and bring her home as soon as possible. We wish the whole family our best duirng this diffuclt time.

I think they will stay together for the remainder of the year to do the show and then next season it will be off the air and a few months later, when nobody cares anymore you’ll see something in the media about them filing for divorce. The real shame in the whole thing is how they changed from the money and fame. Instead of making the money and putting it away for their kids education, weddings etc. or upgrading to a nicer but more modest house they went extremely overboard with their “toys”, clothes and image. Kate obviously loves being famous at this point and isn’t going to give it up for anyone, including the well being of her kids.
