I didn’t watch but my friend texted me the result. It is very sad. I feel horrible for the children. Not only are they exploited but their parents are splitting and this is most likely because of being on television. Maybe if we quit watching the show would be canceled and the kids can get begin to live some sort of a normal life.

I agree! Its so sad to watch the old episodes of them all happy. I want the old Kate back that was down-to-Earth. The Kate that used to slap Jon- . I liked when they were just a normal family that was just living life, with lots more kids! Its just so sad!

It was really sad. I had already heard earlier that they were divorcing today, so I was expecting it! But still. I hope that they can maybe have a friendship soon, and maybe that’ll be better for the kids. The show will definetly be different without them both on it together. Watching old episodes is even sadder, because they were so happy together. Yes, they fought, but they loved each other = (

More power to Jon. I’m surprised he lasted as long as he did putting up with her Bi-Polar tendencies. She completely emasculated him on air. The stardom has quickly gone to her head. She says she was doing the show for the kids? Then explain the boob job and the excessive tanning? I put the blame more on her than on him.

my heart stopped when after the commercial jon said they were going to seperate. I seriouslyt couldnt breath. WHY WHY WHY? We know them for 4 years watching their children grow up and now this WHY! To be honest i dont think jon knows what he wants because did u see how everytime the cameraman asked a question jon never know what to say. ‘Everything we do is for the kids” was mostly what he said. I think KATE is going to really struggle single women with 2 kids struggle but now 8 kids!?!??!?! I am on kates side. Sorry for Kates haters. =] =[ =[=[=[=[=[=[

I don’t watch the show, but I have caught updates from friends and the internet. I can’t say that I am sad about the split, but I will say that these two people need to grow up. Kate says that this has been coming for a long time and I am struggling with the idea that these two people (who are supposed to be adults) put the show before their family. If this has been happening for an extended amount of time, they should have ended the show and sought marriage and family counseling. The fact that they did not do so tells me that they care more about the $$$$ and the fame than they do about their children and family. I think that these two people are selfish and money hungry.

Indeed, the very fact that they are continuing the show tells us that they are selfish. These children will have a hard time adjusting to the way that “family” life will change. Kate and Jon should discontinue the show and go through their separation/divorce in private, if for no other reason than their children.

To Jon and Kate I say, GROW UP and DO WHAT IS BEST FOR YOUR FAMILY, NOT YOUR BANK ACCOUNT.

Was anybody surprised? I don’t even watch the show and I knew what was going to happen. He’s a cheating bastard and they don’t need to be together. It will be better for the kids.

The show hasn’t even aired on the West Coast, but I have read all of the postings about it. It is very sad and they should have stopped the show and gone to counseling. Either way, it seems they both have some issues they need to deal with. I do feel that Kate being so controlling had so much to do with this. Seriously, would anyone want to be treated the way she treats Jon? She treats the dogs better than she does him. Oh, by the way, I am a female, but I stand on Jon’s side with this.

yes, it was sad. but they brought it upon themselves. and we all would gasp at the way kate would treat jon, we all saw it coming, but never really thought it would happen. but now i think everyone just needs to leave them alone and they need to stop their show, for heavens sake, it has been ruining their lives. anyone agree?
