I missed the show where this happened. Also in the new show this past week where they said they were moving, they mentioned that she would be getting her own room? Why?

Its because the basement used to be the little girls room before they turned the attic into rooms for cara and maddie. After cara and maddie got their new attic room the little girls moved into the old room that used to be cara and maddies. But leah got so used to the basement being her room that she prefers to sleep their instead of her new room.
its not leah its alexis. alexis sleeps in the basement and is getting her own room because she would always wake the other kids in the middle of the night.
Alexis sleeps in the basement, not Leah. She used to wake all the other kids up at four in the morning so they moved her away from the other kids. She is getting her own room probably for the above reason and because Hannah and Leah are very close, and the two of them will be sharing a room, so that leaves Alexis with her own room.
