   yes, and what’s your point. Sometimes kids need a smack on the butt. It wasn’t on national TV though, some idiot took pics of Kate giving leah a smack on the butt. Big deal

   If you look at the pictures, she is HITTING with a closed fist on little Leah. Spanking is an open palm, hitting is a closed fist. I don’t know how many parents HIT their kids with a closed fist. People should stop using the term spanking, and use hitting for this incident. My parents spanked me with an open palm on my bottom, but never made a fist and hit me. There is a big difference, and injury could occur with hitting.

   My daughter sometimes needs a spanking the only difference is that I’m not being filmed. Kids need discipline and sometimes time-outs just don’t work. She’s a mother its not like shes doing out of hate, it shows she loves her kids or else she wouldn’t give a dam about them.

   Um, you people need to give her a break! She is just being a parent. Most parents spank their children, so why is she an exception? Just because the press wont leave her and her family alone does NOT mean she all the sudden can’t be a parent. MY goodness people! If she wipes her nose they put her on mags saying KATE GOSSELIN: EVIL NOSE PICKER!

   Yes, children get spanked,
   but they don’t have the photographers following them every move they make.
   Their is nothing Leah could have done to deserve being humiliated like that. Yes, she is only five but this is going to follow her the rest of her life.

    Who knows – Kate is a wack job. I used to love the show – but ever since she got so rude and mean to John, opening up to the press about her marrage issues I can’t stand to watch the show.
