It was extremely awkward between them during the final interview. So awkward that they couldn't fake their way through it. If they were happy, that wouldn't be any way to end a season. Another possible clue: John isn't exactly the openly affectionate type, but he at least made small attempts in earlier seasons. It's been a long while since John showed any sincere affection toward her on the show. It seems as if they went from being friends to acquaintances. Marraige is tough enough. I can't imagine going through it with 8 kids. I hope they work things out, but you never know what's going on behind the scenes.
