Parenting Question: Do you allow your kids to watch reality shows? Do you watch them? (I’m dying to figure out who exactly watches the likes of Real Housewives of X or Bridezillas. All those sorts of shows make me shudder.)

I had no idea who Adam Lanmburt is but I just google imaged him and your right, there is a resemblance.
My daughter is to young to watch TV but I will allow her to watch reality TV as long as its suitable.
Bahaha I love Jon and Kate plus 8 – I LOVE MADY AND CARA. Kate’s a b**** but Jon is awesome! I’m only up to season 3 though and I’m getting a bit bored of it now.

I watch them sometimes…I get sucked in..it’s horrible. I watch a lot of the dating ones, project runway, and cooking ones (just wishing I could cook!!). Ian’s 2, but I try not to have them on when he is around because there are so many nasty words, gestures, and fights and right now he’s a little mimic. I’ve never seen the bridezillas or housewives ones. Ian does watch the reality dance shows with me. He normally just faces away from the tv and does his own dance to the music.

If a reality show is on tv they usually leave the room because it bores them. I watch some on occasion: baby story, property virgins, biggest loser, say yes to the dress, things like that. Real Housewives makes me gag. I really hate rich people who have nothing better to do than hire 5 thousand nannies, get botox, and throw parties. I have watched Bridezilla on occasion. I can’t believe what those guys just sit there and take. My husband is a very mild, easy going person and he would have left me in a heartbeat if I was like any of those women, long before we even got engaged. Some of those guys just need to wake up and realize there are much better fish out in the sea. Much better.

PQ: He’s still too young… But I watch them with a passion. It’s my guilty pleasure. Right now, I’m stuck on The Bad Girls Club and any trashy VH-1 Reality. I like Bridezillas… But I can’t get into the Real Housewives crap.
Adam is way prettier then Kate ! Way better make up to ! Top Chef, Hells Kitchen & Project Runway are on my Tivo. My 23 yr. old daughter, working on her Masters , thinks her Mom & Dad are dorks !Life in my house is simply marvelous !

Not a parent but i only watch those lame “LOOKING FOR LOVE” ones! but bridezillas and all that i don’t watch!

PQ- No not yet. Too much junk for their little minds. As for me, sometimes I watch them. It depends on the show.

And no, I would never, ever allow my kids to watch reality shows. None of them. Not even Survivor or Amazing Race.
