Do You Like How The Gosselin Kids Dress?

I am a mom of four – and therefore have no idea of the chaos of the life the Gosselins lead.
A question?
Do you like how the Gosselin kids normally wear matching clothes – twins, boy, girls?
I know there is alot of controversy surrounding dressing kids the same – but I really like it, especially in their case as it makes washing easier!
I don’t personally dress my kids the same more alike – I have 5 year twins (boy/girl), 3 yr old boy and baby girl. They will often all wear navy and red for example and the boys will wear the same pants but different tops! It just make life easier for me – and plus they don’t clash:)
What are your views on dressing kids? Matching, similar or completely different? Thanks.

My boys aren’t multiples, but I’ve always dressed them in the same clothes. When I find a good sale, I buy them in bulk, two or more of each, but different colors. Generally one prefers blues and grays, the other greens and browns, etc.
Once they got older (age 12+) they started getting their own “style” for pants and t-shirts, jackets, etc, but for things like dress shirts and polos I still buy the same stuff in different colors. Even my husband doesn’t escape now that the boys are teenagers and wearing mens’ sizes. My 2nd son and my husband actually wear the same size.
My daughter escaped having the same clothes as everyone else because she is the only girl.
When you have a lot of kids it makes sense to buy a whole bunch of the same thing.
I thinks it’s cute and fun as long as the kids enjoy it! My sister and I are 3 years apart and always shared our clothes because we had the same style and are about the same size. However, when she was in between the ages of 10 and 15 she used to get so mad if I dressed similar to her. So as the kids get older they may get annoyed with the look-a-like clothing game.
I think when they are young it is ok because they dont really understand it but when they are old enough to choose out thier own clothes I think most parents are to picky, if your child is five and wants to wear a bright red shirt and bright purple pants, so be it, plus its kinda cute when kids dress themselves.
Well, in their case I think it’s a good idea.
If they were to go out in public, they would have a hard time trying to notice their kids, so matching outfits are the smartest idea.
They also make sure their clothes are bright so that they could be notable.
In your case no, but DEFINATELY yes in their case.
I think they are still young enough that dressing them alike is not a big deal. With that many kids can you blame them for finding ways to make laundry easier. I remember my parents dressing us alike when we were little. If all your kids are dressed alike it’s easier to spot them in a crowd.
I dress my boys alike and they aren’t twins. It’s easier to keep track of them that way and it’s cute. I wouldn’t do it if they didn’t want to anymore, but since they don’t have a problem with it yet, I’ll continue.
I think it’s whatever works the best for you. Kids look cute in almost anything.
I think the Gosselins are adorable in whatever they wear.
I think it is cute when people dress their kids a little bit alike, like wearing the same colors, but I don’t like it when their clothes match 100%.
i love how those kids look twins are different than sextuplets its prolly hard to keep track of 6 kids with different color shirts plus the laundry is easier not having to seperate all those colors and sorting whose is whose
Me and my sister were sometimes dressed alike when we were little. Now we are free to wear what ever. Actually we enjoy wearing similar things. Like we will without knowing both put on green shirts etc.

Your the mother it doesn’t matter how they dress as long as you like it and you are fine with it. whatever makes your life easier.

Some people like it, some don’t.
I recently attended a baby shower for someone expecting twins. She explicitly stated ‘no matching outfits’ because she wishes to treat them as individuals, which is her choice and her right as their mother. I have no problem with that. However, people got matching stuff for them anyway. LOL
I am expecting my third and if it’s a girl, *might* do matching outfits but maybe for special occasions like pictures, etc. I sew, so I plan on making a dress for the oldest one and something similar, but in reverse contrasting fabric, if you get my point, for the younger one. But not all the time.
I think people sometimes expect twins to dress the same and they often treat them like one person as a result. That might be fine for some, and others want to stress their individuality so it bothers them more.
Yes, I think they are adorable when they dress the same! I have quadruplets, but we didn’t usually dress them the same. When friends/family bought them clothes, it was always matching, but when they started preschool and school, the teachers asked that my daughters be dressed differently as to tell them apart quickly and easily.
Also, for my family, dressing them differently was more cost effective. Instead of spending money on four of the same exact outfits that couldn’t be shared between them (because they all had the same thing) we would buy four similar or different outfits, so they could be swapped and the girls ultimately had more clothes. We still had four of the same thing so they matched some days, but it was more cost effective to buy different outfits.
But yes – Gosselin kid’s clothes = adorable!
