Annoying Kate Gosselin question. Why does she keep on saying she can’t support her kids unless she does TV?

There are plenty of single mothers who are nurses and make good money. My friend has 6 kids and is a STNA she makes good money and can keep up with all 6 of her kids. Kate Gosselin is a labor and delivery nurse she could go back to nursing. I think she likes being on camera and doesn’t want it to end I just wish she would go away. What do you think?
Right well she will be getting child support and I don’t beleive she is doing this alone. No one said she had to live in THAT house. I understand wanting your kids to have it better than you, but no one made her have 8 kids! Like I said I know plenty of nurses and just mothers who have A LOT of kids and they are making it. Its about living within your means.

I completely agree with you! I think she has this stigma where she needs to provide for her kids to the extreme (I’m talking about the huge “mansion” type houses, pony’s, $25,000 tree house) Not that she’s done this, b/c honestly I have not even watched ANYTHING she/they have been in in, BUT she seems like that type of person (I have watched interviews and small things with her and her exhusband) They seem really douchebag-ish…A lot of people have this “I want to provide for my kids more than I had” thing, but with her being in the situation she’s in (she thinks she’s a celebrity) I think she wants that life style, which ONLY people in the limelight can have…very unfortunate that she thinks she can only have the money to raise her kids this way…
I totally agree with you. She’s like addicted to being on camera or something…
Don’t get me wrong, I am not a fan of hers either, but I think that being on Dancing with the Stars is a good way for her not to be away from her kids (they rehearse at her home, and only for 4-6 hours a day) but still make a huge amount of money (which she needs to support her kids, or at least some of it) and only be with this gig for 10 or so weeks. Yeah, she’s annoying and won’t go away, but if you had 8 kids and, especially in this economy, needed a means by which to support your family, this is the type of thing that would seem appealing.
She lives in a 1.5 million dollar house ..figure the taxes and insurance on that…food…babysitters….car payments, gas, utilities, clothes……..At the most Kate would make 35.00 to 40.00 an hour….Hardly enough to pay for everything. I don’t like her at all, but she would never be able to support those kids on her own.

Kate was a labor and delivery nurse and as such, she could very well make money. Maybe not enough to afford them the lifestyle they are used to (mansion, cars, luxury vacations, tanning, extensions, etc..) but enough for a much more modest and realistic lifestyle. It looks like it’s not so much the kids, but her selfishness that keeps her on tv. She wants to be catered to and she’s quite lazy and she likes the attention.
DWTS was another way for her to try to stay relevant in the public’s eye. For the poster who says it gives her time to spend with the kids–that’s incorrect. She doesn’t really see her kids and is in LA most of the time despite installing a dance studio in her house. Last weekend, she flew home to PA, hung out with friends and didn’t bother seeing any of her children before flying back to LA.
In my opinion, she really isn’t much better than Jon….it’s just that she is smarter at manipulating the media and keeping her mouth shut. They are a couple who should never have had children because now we’re seeing that in the end, it’s the children that suffer.
we are talking about her. good or bad. people clearly voted for her on DWTS. if no one wants to see her on TV, then she wouldnt have had a chance to BE on TV. so you know, you are part of the problem in which you speak. (and that hundreds of thousands of $$ you get for dancing for 2 months aint all that bad.)
Because when I roundhouse kicked her she got the Rachael Ray disease. Never stopping smiling, thoughts only on men who look like me, and on television.
